Second Trimester

Time seems to be going by so quickly, we have just entered the second trimester. As much as I want to meet our two babies, we have so much to do to prepare, so I hope it slows down a little. I am guessing when I am huge at months 7/8; I am going to be wishing for the opposite. I think time has been going by fast because we have had so much going on, I guess that’s what happens during the holidays. Two weekends ago, we did a lot of Christmas shopping, had some friends over for a get-together and White Elephant gift exchange and took Kira and Carson, our twin niece and nephew to do something fun, but I cannot tell because it is a Christmas present for their mom. Diana you will find out Saturday J Then it was back to work for the week and last weekend we made a quick trip to Cheney for the annual Webberfest, which was so much fun, as always! It was great to see family that we haven’t seen since last year, unfortunately.
We are heading down to Gig Harbor tomorrow to enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas with James’ family. Should be fun! I am looking forward to having a relaxing holiday and I have the next 10 days off of work, so I plan on continuing that relaxation through the New Year. I do have an appointment with a Perinatologist, which is a high-risk pregnancy doctor, but it is just to go over nutrition and preventative measures for a healthy and smooth pregnancy. I have been reading the book that they recommend, so I have a grasp on what will be talked about, but am excited to hear more and to be able to ask questions.
We also have another ultrasound on January 3rd. We are really hoping that they will be able to determine the sexes then, it’s killing us, but we’ll see. They say that they can sometimes tell at 16 weeks which is what that will be. I am excited about that appointment as well, even though James keeps telling me not to get my hopes too high. Either way, it is always exciting to get to see those little guys (or girls).
For all of you that are not close by and have been asking to see picture of my baby bump, here it is. It seems so big for 14 weeks, but I guess that means that these babies are growing, which is what I am working hard to do. We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love always,
James and Jessie

  1. Oh Jessie, I'm so happy for you. I cant not believe you guys are starting your family and you are having twins, that is awesome. As you know I have two and I have had interesting pregnancies experience. But my both kids make my life worth wild. Enjoy your pregnancy is such a beautiful time and my advice is take a advantage of time to yourself and sleep all you can.. maybe once we move back to WA, we can meet up..
